MARIE TOLLON

Country: FRANCE

Story: Fascinated by the expressive power of movement, I dived into modern dance while completing my Master's Degree in Comparative Literature at Dartmouth College, NH. I then came to New York to study dance at the Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance, where I received my Certification. I have worked with choreographers Or-Yah Maor, Patricia Catenne and Sebastien Sabatier-Curial before joining Mare Nostrum Elements. I have had the wonderful opportunity to teach dance and choreography at the Brearley School, at Kingsborough Community College and at Maine College of Art. I currently teach yoga at the Integral Yoga Institute in New York City, in addition to teaching dance.

Marie and MNE: As a fellow dancer of Nicola at the Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance, I have followed the work of MNE with deep interest and recognition for the talent of its participants. I am thrilled to be part of such an inspiring group and project.
