JESSICA JENNINGS
Country: USA
Story: I started my dance training in New York at the Neubert Ballet
Institute and The Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance where I
received the Van Lier Grant Scholarship as a member of the Teen-
Program and went on to graduated from their Trainee-Program in 2000. In
May 2004 I received my Modern Dance BFA (as a scholarship student)
from The University of the Arts- Philadelphia, PA.
Career: I performed with Junk at Philadelphia's Blue Ball Festival; Coyote
Dancers at the Sylvia & Danny Kaye Playhouse in New York and
Cumberland Ballet Theater at the Edinburgh Festival in Scotland. I
choreographed and performed at the 'Armunia Riviera Etrusca Festival' in
Tuscany, Italy and my choreography has also been presented in
Philadelphia and New York. Most recently I worked as Rehearsal Director
and understudy with Milton Myers on the world premier of Arranged,
as well, I danced in M. Night Shymalan's film "The Village".
Jessica and MNE: After knowing Nicola for many years I attended
his workshop at Peridance Center in June 2003. Soon after that, he asked me
to join the group. I performed in "...Until it rains Sand" presented at
Peridance Center in June 2004 for the independent choreographers series.
